Impermanence is the defining characteristic of the human world. It is the constant flux that we experience in our daily lives, where nothing remains the same and everything is subject to change. In contrast, the state of an awakened being is eternal; it is the absolute truth of reality. Between the fleeting nature of our current existence and the eternal truth of our true self, there lies a significant distance. To bridge this gap, one must undergo a profound process of purification and exert great effort. It is only through such dedication that one can move closer to that eternal state. We must strive with all our heart to transform the cycle of impermanence into the eternal stability of an awakened being.
Every single being possesses the true self and the Buddha-nature. This is an inherent quality that never leaves us, yet it remains obscured. Many beings have not had the good fortune to encounter a true spiritual friend or to receive the benefit of Buddhist education. Because they have not heard the , they remain unaware of the truth and do not realise that their true self exists. Consequently, they remain trapped within the cycle of impermanence, suffering deeply through the inevitable experiences of birth, aging, sickness, and death. They wander through the various realms of reincarnation, burdened by the weight of their own .
Now that has manifested in this world, it is my sincere hope that all beings can form a deep Dharma affinity. I hope that you may encounter these teachings, hear them, and come to understand this truth, ultimately developing the vow to realise your true self and attain Buddhahood. In our current situation, one must engage in consistent practice to transition from the state of impermanence into the eternal nature of an awakened being. This is not a goal that can be achieved through casual or half-hearted efforts. You must be fiercely diligent, working to overcome the heavy obstacles created by your past karma and the interference of your . Achieving this state is not impossible, but it requires a firm vow and the boldness to persist until the end.
The process by which Namo Amituofo established the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is clearly revealed within the Infinite Life Sutra. This sutra serves as a testament to the transformation from impurity to purity, and it is a reflection of the intended to benefit infinite suffering beings. I hope that all who hear these words will place their faith in them, study them deeply, and put them into practice. By doing so, you will surely receive great benefits. Do not forget to maintain your practice 24/7, holding the name of Namo Amituofo without interruption. This is the most direct and effective method to receive the benefits of the Dharma and secure your path to liberation.
