Doing Only One Thing in a Lifetime, Beings' Affairs at the Time of Buddhahood
As we gather here on the sixth day of the Taiwan New Year Assembly, we are reminded that time and space are constantly shifting. Much of what we perceive as solid has already slipped away, like water flowing through our fingers. Yet, time itself continues its relentless march, never pausing for even a single breath. Similarly, the space we occupy remains anchored in the past, even as it seems to vanish into the present moment. We often find ourselves caught between the echoes of the past, the fleeting nature of the present, and the uncertainty of the future.
My dear children, have you ever stopped to contemplate the true nature of this time and space? How much do you truly understand about the reality in which you live? It is easy to be swept away by the currents of the world, allowing your spirit to change and fade along with the passing of the seasons. However, you must not let your true self be lost to the illusions of time and space.
You must cultivate a deep awareness of your own existence. Within the vast expanse of time and space, is it possible to find true meaning? If you can illuminate your heart and realise your true nature, you will be able to find your way back to your original self. Conversely, if you allow your mind to be governed by false thoughts and attachments, you will inevitably become lost in the cycle of delusion.
The passage of time is the same for everyone, yet the outcome depends entirely on the path you choose to walk. You must understand clearly whether you are currently in a state of confusion or awakening. Consider your position within the cycle of being reincarnated:
The power to change your destiny lies within your own hands. It depends entirely on how you conduct your practice and how you choose to spend your remaining time. Time will continue to flow regardless of your choices, so I urge you to be diligent and proactive in your spiritual journey.
