The power of a vow is boundless and eternal; it knows no beginning and no end. In every moment and in every place, there is a corresponding vow that guides our actions. Whether we are in this time or that time, in this place or that place, our commitment to the remains constant. The vow is the compass that directs our spiritual journey through the vast expanse of existence.
We form our vows based on the suffering of sentient beings, and we form them based on the earnest prayers of those who seek liberation. Our primary vow is to save all beings from their suffering and help them find true happiness. This is the heart of our practice. We must ask ourselves: are we truly living in accordance with this compassionate intent?
When you successfully rediscover your original true self, your initial vow is fulfilled. From there, you must make a further vow to help all beings leave suffering behind. Guiding others to rediscover their own original true self is the most fundamental method for helping them leave suffering behind. Yet, throughout history, how many have truly realised their original true self? How many have seen their true face? It is a rare and precious achievement.
Practitioner Su leads the disciples of the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, guiding them step by step as they seek their true self. This path requires constant effort. We must purify our hearts again and again until our minds become as clear and transparent as crystal. As we walk this path, we must remain diligent and focused, ensuring that our practice is not merely superficial but deeply rooted in the Truth.
The awakened being, the Fragrant Light Buddha, is a rare presence in this Saha world. Together with , we work to save suffering spirits. All disciples follow in these footsteps, aligning their own vows with the Buddha-vow. Returning to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, the lotus flowers will bloom. The supreme Buddha's path is realised right here in the human world, and through our collective efforts, we bring the light of the Dharma to all who are lost.
