This is a record of an interview with Lay Practitioner Chen Yuhui, who sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon his transition and his message to his family. It was recorded by the chief writer, Fa Ning, on January 2, 2026.
Lay Practitioner Chen Yuhui speaks:
". Life in the human world passes by in such a rush; the days slip away before you even realise it. In the blink of an eye, I have died and been reborn. Today, I am incredibly fortunate to have arrived here in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss—this magnificent world of purity and Goodness. Is it not truly miraculous? I look at Namo Amituofo, who is smiling at me right now, and Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju is also here. Everywhere I look, I see their compassionate presence. My heart is filled with such profound gratitude! This is the magnificence of the Western Pure Land; we do not need to possess anything, because whatever we desire, whatever we wish to see, appears before us the very moment the thought arises.
A Father's Gratitude
It is as if I can see my daughter, Chen Miaojuan. Not long ago, she spent some time at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre and registered for her father's Chao Du. My dear daughter, I was so moved. And your mother is here too; today, we have both returned to the embrace of Namo Amituofo. Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude toward the Buddha, and toward Practitioner Su. You are truly living Bodhisattvas who save people! My daughter is so intelligent and possesses such Wisdom; she knew to come here, and she brought a group of good friends with her. Thinking of this, I have no more worries. Everything is so beautiful!
The Light of Salvation
In the past, I never imagined that the world after death would be so helpless. So, when a beam of Buddha-light shone upon me, I immediately sensed that this was a light of salvation! I followed the Buddha-light straight to the Western Land of Nature. Today, I quickly told the temple that I wanted to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss! Through this series of events, I have truly come to understand the of the Buddha—a heart that refuses to abandon a single person, a single being. I am resting here with such peace of mind, quietly chanting, 'Namo Amituofo, Namo Amituofo.'
The Achievement of Practitioner Su
The Dharma assembly I am witnessing right now leaves me absolutely astonished. To think that there is such a person, named Practitioner Su, who, having achieved such a high level of attainment, can guide so many suffering spirits to the Western Land of Dharma Nature. If one were not to see or experience this for oneself, it would truly be hard to believe!
A Message to My Daughter
I also have a few words for my daughter. I know you are very capable, but your life has not been easy, and your health is flashing red lights. You suffer from various minor illnesses and pains; they may not seem like major diseases, but I can see that they are all brought about by your own personality. Therefore, no matter which doctor you see, you will never be cured at the root. The only way is to truly believe in the Buddha and follow the Buddha's path. No matter how painful it may be, you must change your personality bit by bit. Otherwise, this trip to the human world will have been a waste! I did not understand much in the past, but now, listening to Practitioner Su's Dharma talks, my heart has opened and my understanding has deepened. Only now do I realise how fragile the human body is. You still have life, so please cherish it. If you can repay the beings you have harmed, do so as much as you can. They are truly suffering—far more than you are with your illnesses!
Returning to the Old Home
Your father no longer has a physical body; I feel so refreshed, and there is not a single trace of suffering. If you could see me, you would see that I look many years younger! Remember, no matter what happens, you must chant Namo Amituofo more often. Come back to our old home, the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, as soon as you can! Right now, I am filled with such ease and gratitude. I chant the Buddha's name every day, until I have reached a state where only the Buddha remains in my heart. Well, I hope you are all doing well. Your mother and I are doing perfectly fine. Thank you, my daughter. Please set your hearts at ease. Gratitude, and gratitude once more.
