Words of , recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe.
On the eleventh of December, 2021, Namo Amituofo offered these profound teachings regarding the nature of the space we inhabit.
There is infinite space in existence. In truth, a single thought is a space in itself. Consider how many thoughts arise within your mind in a single moment; within each of those thoughts, how much space is contained? As long as you, my children, remain trapped in attachment, you will continue to drift through these realms.
You are bound by many forms of attachment:
Every single one of these attachments is composed of countless thoughts. Because each thought creates a space, the number of dimensions you create is immeasurable and boundless. Even if you hold only a minute, subtle attachment, there are countless spaces waiting for you to enter them.
What is it that pulls you into these realms? It is the influence of your karmic creditors and those beings who have formed a spiritual attachment to you. These beings are intimately connected to your specific thoughts and your specific attachments. If your thoughts are infinite, it means that these karmic creditors can lead you into infinite dimensions.
The deeper you fall into a space of heavy attachment, the more difficult it becomes to awaken. You will experience signs that you have entered these spaces:
These are all clear indications that you have been drawn into a space of your own making.
My children, when you hear this, do you not see the danger of holding onto attachments, unwholesome behaviours, improper speech, and negative thoughts? The more you contemplate your own self, and the more your thoughts of attachment continue to arise, the more these spaces form, one after another. How, then, could you avoid entering them?
To stop this process of entering these spaces, you must learn to let go. You must not be attached to any person, any object, or any event. Do not cling to any thought, nor to the concepts of 'I am,' 'I am right,' or 'I want.' Your subjective views and your personal opinions are the very causes that lead you into these spaces.
A practitioner who has true attainment in their practice is able to stop these wandering thoughts and discard their attachments. They can perceive the situations within these spaces and, through their skills, can shout to stop them from entering these states. However, the person involved must also be willing to let go of their attachments and their subjective views. This is the only fundamental way to resolve the situation and find true freedom.
