Disciple: May the Buddha compassionately protect and guide me. I humbly request the Buddha's compassionate teachings.
: Time passes like floating clouds and a light breeze, yet you continue to cycle through the six realms of existence. You have not yet seen the truth, and your body is covered in the dust of . How can these grievances be resolved? Every spirit cries out in sorrow. Each one suffers in their own way, and even after the breath of life has ceased, they remain entangled in the cycle of rebirth.
You may think you have escaped, but you are merely drowning in the vast ocean of karma. Throughout countless lifetimes, you have formed connections, and you have made vows before the Buddha. Whether you seek personal fame, the of children, physical health, or the well-being of your family, you are driven by these desires. The waves of the ocean of desire never cease, and you continue to wander through the six realms of existence. Your habits and personality traits shift constantly. You often think you have changed, but such changes are only skin deep. Deep within the layers of your heart, the scars of your past remain etched in place.
When will your heart become smooth and clear, allowing life to flow effortlessly? You must let the light of your heart shine forth. Where this light shines, there is brightness; where it does not, there is only darkness. may die, but the heart—the spirit—does not. It is the only thing that truly persists. When the fruits of your laws of karma and cause and effect ripen, they fall to the ground. When the time comes, you must realise that all dependent conditions are merely illusions. Even the principal reality is an illusion within an illusion. When can you say you have found the truth? Only when you let go of both the dependent and the principal, and when there is no longer a single thing to hold onto.
Nothing in this world lasts forever. You must learn to "see through" and "let go" of everything. Cleanse your heart and manage your affairs in the midst of the ordinary. Whether your life appears worthy of praise or causes you sorrow, this is simply the nature of the human world, where everyone is caught in the conflict of right and wrong. When will you find true, radiant happiness? Do not hide your light; share it openly. Be honest, clear, and pure, and keep your heart connected to the Buddha.
The power of the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre is here to assist you. You must use your wisdom to see clearly. You must "see through" and "let go" and put in the work within your own heart. The nature of space is difficult to fathom. A myriad of things appear before you, yet you can only perceive one thing at a time. You do not know the truth of every single event.
Every thought you have creates a space. Within that space, living beings reside, and within that space, there are even more spaces. It is subtle within the subtle. As long as your thoughts do not cease, the space is endless, and within it, events continue to unfold. When you are in a state of fear, you create a landscape of anxiety and depression, and you try to escape, only to cause more harm to yourself and others. If your thoughts are bright and joyful, a smile will naturally arise. However, if you are governed by the —greed, anger, ignorance, arrogance, and doubt—you will only produce toxins and festering wounds.
If you crave the wealth, lust, fame, food, and sleep, you will fall into a state of confusion and dimness. If you are lost in the realm of emotion and desire, your body will turn into that of a crawling insect. The affairs of men and women never cease, and your will surely come. Who do you love the most? You will take them with you into your space. When your soul enters that space, your life force scatters, and your becomes difficult to clear. You will often find yourself in a daze.
Within this space, there are a myriad of phenomena. The six realms of existence and the ten realms are all present, and every realm is but a phantom image. There is no true reality in them. When will you be able to leave this state? It is difficult to escape even after a thousand years, as you simply repeat the events within the illusion. It is far better to practise diligently. Keep the name of Namo Amituofo with you at all times. Do not let it leave your mind for even a moment; let your pure thoughts continue in succession.
If you chant Namo Amituofo now, you will become Namo Amituofo in the future. This is also a practice of the laws of karma and cause and effect. You must understand the importance of Faith, Vows, and Practice. Only then will you be able to bear witness to the ultimate fruit of your efforts.
