Amitabha Buddha's discourse:
Cherish every second and instant,
because in a second or an instant, one may enter space, and it is uncertain how long one will remain drowsy before waking;
perhaps one does not wake, remaining trapped in space without escape, and when the breath stops, life ends.
Therefore, one must not take entering space through lightly.
Or, when one first wakes from the drowsiness of entering space, while still confused and muddled, an accident may occur,
and may manifest to claim one's life, leading to an unnatural death.
These situations can be seen at any time,
they can happen 24/7, at any moment, without warning,
whether by day or by night,
while driving out on a trip, or even while hiking or swimming.
Many who die an unnatural death do so because they entered space while drowsy, or were led away by spirits upon first waking,
therefore, one must be cautious!
For the fourfold assembly of the Fragrant Light at the temple,
you are protected by all protectors, as well as Buddhas or Bodhisattvas, and patriarchs and venerable masters,
making it difficult for unnatural deaths or deaths in one's sleep to occur.
Moreover, the fourfold assembly can look after one another at all times.
However, outside the temple, such things are often heard of, even among celebrities, those in the entertainment industry, politicians, business people, and corporate leaders,
who appear in a coma before the end of their lives; this is like entering space for a long period, and by the time life ends,
the spirit remains trapped in space.
This space could be the hells, the animal realm, or any other place; therefore, one must be cautious!
To protect one's life is to cherish every second and instant, and not fall into the drowsiness of entering space.
Even during night sleep or a midday nap, there are times when one falls into the drowsiness of entering space,
those who can close their eyes to rest while keeping their clear and chanting Buddha's name possess great cultivation.
